Panjakent, Tajikistan, April 10, 2017 – On Monday, the United States Ambassador to Tajikistan, Elisabeth Millard, and the Panjakent Deputy District Chairman, Parviz Shodizoda, commemorated the distribution of 50 beds to the Panjakent mental health clinic, Panjakent District in the Sughd Province.
The Panjakent government coordinated with the United States Embassy for assistance with the Panjakent District Development Plan. This clinic is a top priority for Panjakent district and provides a great service to the community. American NGO Spirit of America made the generous contribution to provide 50 beds to the clinic. This increased capacity will allow the clinic to serve a greater number of patients within Panjakent and neighboring districts.
