Office of Military Cooperation

The Office of Military Cooperation (OMC) plans, manages, and implements Department of Defense security cooperation activities that build the security and defense capability of the Republic of Tajikistan to secure its borders, territory, and people from legitimate internal and external security threats and to enhance the effectiveness of those capabilities where possible, on behalf of the U.S. Ambassador and United States Central Command (USCENTCOM).

The OMC manages the following security assistance programs:

  • Combating Terrorism Fellowship Program (CTFP)
  • DoD Counternarcotics Program (CN)
  • Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI)

  • Humanitarian Assistance programs
  • Defense HIV/AIDS Prevention Program (DHAPP)
  • State Partnership Program (SPP) with Virginia
