The International Forum “Entrepreneurship – Innovative Vision on Economic Development” will be held in Dushanbe on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. The event is held within the framework of Global Entrepreneurship Week, which will take place from November 16-20. This event is organized by the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, the United States Embassy in the Republic of Tajikistan, the American Chamber of Commerce in Tajikistan, and the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia – Tajikistan.
The Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan Qodiri Qosim, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the U.S. Embassy in Tajikistan Ms. Leslie Hayden, and the U.K. Ambassador to Tajikistan Mr. Hugh Philpot are invited to give opening remarks at the Forum.
Also, presentations are planned by Vanessa Beary, Senior Advisor on Youth Entrepreneurship at the U.S. State Department; Alexander Long, an expert on social and public policy; and Regional Manager for Public Policy and Government Affairs for Google Asia Pacific; and CEO of EGI Development, Karin Shipman. Global Entrepreneurship Week Tajikistan host, Daniel Zaretsky, will make a presentation about the ecosystem of the entrepreneurship around the world.
After the presentations, panel discussions will be held on three topics:
- Women – leaders in business
- Young people, startups, innovation, and technology
- Investments in start-ups: angel investment, seed financing, and support of start-ups
Upon completion of the panel discussions a review of the working groups will be held, where the secretaries will provide general analysis of the discussions at the panel discussions.
